The free online course takes people through the stages of development that occur in an organization during the intervention by BOSS. They learn the limits of one-way and the benefits of two-way communication, as well as experiencing the differences between individual, group, and community problem solving.
As a community, bad ideas cancel each other out due to the size of and the diversity in the organization.²⁷ That enables the organization, as a whole, to come to the most advantageous path to productivity and profit, which is called the path of least action.
Another feature of this path is that wherever a community members starts down this path—at the start, in the middle, near the end, or somewhere in between—that person will arrive at the end when everyone else on the path does. In other words, the path not only naturally produces the maximum productivity and profit, it also allows everyone to finish a job at the same time—meaning on time—no matter when and where they started down the path.
The course concludes with a discussion of what all that might mean to the organization.
